Vittorio works in the Plasmonics and Nanotechnology group at King’s. His research focuses on experimental generation of complex laser beams and their applications in interacting with metasurfaces.
He holds an MSc in Physics from UniversitĂ degli studi di Napoli Federico II (Italy), where his research focused on the fabrication of a liquid crystal-based optical device for light modulation. This project has been developed and applied both for realising a shearing interferometer and for generating Bessel beams.
During university years, Vittorio took active part in a scientific outreach association (PONYS – Physics & Optics Naples Young Students), which was born as an OSA chapter. He was the association’s president during his final year of study (2019).
